I am super behind on updating our blog! November and December tend to fly by around here with birthdays, Thanksgiving, more birthdays, and Christmas. So we'll start back in November to catch up.
Teri came out to Utah to visit for a few days and we had such a great time. We really packed in a ton of fun Christmas stuff while she was here.
We spent one afternoon making gingerbread houses. Which was so much fun! Carson loved decorating his house and eating way too much candy. Our houses almost fell apart a few times, but we were able to save them and they ended up lasting past Christmas.
One night we all headed down to Temple Square to see the lights. I love going to see the lights and being there with my family. This was the first year we took the kids and I was so happy it was on a warm night.
We also went to the Festival of Trees. I haven't been in several years and so I was so excited to go. Carson loved seeing all the Christmas trees at first, but then got very tired...as you can see. My nieces, Hailey and Lauren, performed ballroom dancing while we were there and it was so fun to be able to see them dance. I was moved to tears several times as we learned about some of the stories behind the trees. It's so special to see the amount of time and money people donate. This will definitely be a yearly tradition for us.
Carson was in a total daze just wiping down the table and staring off into space. Poor kid was exhausted.
