I've been tagged! My cousin Marcie tagged me and I'm a little slow at getting around to actually posting this. I'm sure anyone who knows me pretty much knows I have way too many quirks to list...but I will try to keep it to the required 6. :)
Rules: Link the person that tagged you. Mention these rules on your blog. Tell 6 unspectacular quirks of yourself and tag 6 fellow bloggers. Got it? Let's go!
1. I really don't like milk. I never really liked milk growing up and would force myself to eat it with my cereal and drain the milk to the side of the bowl so basically I just got the cereal. Usually my parents forced me to drink the milk telling me I was wasting it. Yuck! Now I eat my cereal with juice and top it off with sliced banana! I love it!
2. I pretty much have to do some form of exercise every day whether it's pilates, running, wlaking, the elipical, whatever it is I have to do something or I feel like a slug. Plus I love the energy and the high it gives me. During the summer I love to to do long runs during the middle of the day. It's great because you get tan and you get a great work out!
3. I love shoes! I used to walk into Target or Forever Young and walk out with a couple pairs of cute shoes at a time. I especially love a good pair of heals! My shoes live in this rubbermaid bin and it's long outgrown it making it very hard to find a matching pair when you are in a hurry!
4. I fall asleep watching movies all the time. Even if I am at someone's house I still struggle to keep my eyes open after the first 10 minutes.-Sometimes I don't even last that long!
5. I love watermelon! I love it probably more than the average person. In fact given the opportunity I would eat watermelon for every meal! Oh and I don't care if I eat the seeds either...doesn't make a difference to me at all.
6. I really like sleeping on the floor. Before I got married I often sleep on the floor next to my nice made up bed. My Dad used to think I would get so in the habit that I wouldn't ever want to sleep in my bed. To prove him wrong I slept in my bed for a month straight! From then on I just went back and forth from the bed to the floor whenever I felt like it. Since I got married though I've had to change my ways. :)
I tag Aria, Kari, Jen, Megan S, Jana, and Amanda!

Official Nebraskans
This is going to be a long one since I have been a slacker blogger already! Here are a few of the promised pictures of where we live. Since we haven't finished completely decorating there are just pictures of the bathroom because that is the one finished decorated place in our little apartment. More to come soon!
This is the outside of our apartment building.
The view from our apartments. Out in the country!
On Saturday Chad needed to go to school and study for most of the day (such a dedicated little student!) so I decided I would venture out and go see a few things. I went to these beautiful gardens that they have right along one of the main streets here. So gorgeous! Of course since it was a game day almost everyone, but me, was wearing red of course!
Here is the Capitol just a few blocks from where I work at the University.
In other news, Chad and I are feeling like official Nebraskans with our new drivers licenses and license plates. So here is my confession.... this is the first time I have got a new license since I turned 16! Believe it or not I was still the proud owner of one of the old plastic Utah licenses and it was completely falling apart. The lady at the driver's license division looked at it with such disgust and so did Chad. :) I don't blame her because it was in pretty bad shape, but I guess in some stupid way was a funny memory to have. Unfortunately they take it away from you when you get a new one. So no more ghetto license that is falling apart for me.

Cornhusker pride!
We FINALLY have a blog! We are so official now! It has taken us a while to get this up and running, but hopefully it'll be something that I can keep pretty updated so that all of you can be filled in on our exciting adventures in Nebraska.
Now since I know that Lincoln, Nebraska is not everyone's top places to visit I will fill you in on some of the interesting things I've been able to experience first hand here. First of all I had no idea what rain really was until I moved here. When it rains in the midwest it REALLY RAINS! It is like driving through a swimming pool! There are bucket loads of water coming down and then there is tons of water on the road. It's pretty ridiculous actually. I was sure I was going to die on our drive to move here during a nasty rain storm and I don't think I have ever been that scared in my life before. Now at least I know not to expect a few sprinkles when the forecast predicts rain.
Another thing I've noticed about living here is that these people have more pride in their football team than anywhere else I have ever been. You can't go to the store without seeing at least two people on every isle wearing Nebraska Cornhusker t-shirts, and on game day everyone...I mean pretty much everyone has a red Nebraska shirt on! So was starting to feel like a sore thumb without one so I broke down and bought red cornhusker t-shirts for me and Chad. Now we will fit right in! We are started to get settled and feel at home here in our little one bedroom apartment. I promise to post pictures soon!
