6 Months

My baby is growing up so fast! We went to the doctor last week for his 6 month check up. Here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs. 11 oz. 48-50th percentile
Height: 27 inches 75th percentile
Head: 16 1/2 inches 10th percentile

Carson continues to be as happy as ever. He loves to laugh and smile. He also loves to babble and make funny gurgling noises. One of his favorite toys is his glow worm. He just loves it! If he is ever upset glow worm seems to be just the calming comfort that he needs. He hasn't gotten any of his teeth in yet, but loves to chew and chomp anything within his reach. If you're holding him he'll attempt to each your arm or hand if possible. One of his latest things is to try to cuddle with the bumper pads when he goes to sleep. It's too funny! He has become quite the little rolling machine. He rolls all over the place and even does it in his crib.

Carson's favorite sleeping position.
Loves to eat his shoes!

Carson started on baby food this month. Got to just love the orange stained faces!

All tuckered out!

A couple of weeks ago I came back from a church meeting to find Carson dressed like this for church. Keep in mind it's also 80 to 90 degrees and humid here. Oh the things that go on when Dad is in charge. Carson loves it!

I just love this sweet boy to pieces! He brings me so much happiness! It has been so fun to watch him learn new things ever day and take everything in for the first time. I'm so lucky to be able to spend my days hanging out with this cute kid! Happy six months Carson!

Peanut Butter Lover

peanut-butter.jpg

Every day for lunch Chad eats a peanut butter and honey sandwich. Since he started his job I have been making his lunches for him. You think...oh it's easy I'll just hurry and make a little sandwich and call it good right? I always thought it didn't matter how you made your peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I personally always preferred more honey than peanut butter but that's just me. Well come to find out that my husband is just the opposite. He has informed me that I'm stingy with the peanut butter. However, I am good at making sure the whole piece of bread is perfectly covered with a very THIN layer of peanut butter. Ok so I guess I am a little stingy with the peanut butter. Chad LOVES peanut butter and honey sandwiches with a whole load of peanut butter globbed on there and then just a touch of honey. So over the past couple of weeks I have been working on my peanut butter sandwich making skills. Every time I make his lunch I force myself to put just a little bit more on in hopes that it'll be enough. It looks like a ton to me so I assume it's enough for him. Well last night as I was making his sandwiches I was seriously gagging at the amount of peanut butter that was on there. Surely this will be enough I thought. So I talked to him on his lunch break and he informed me that the sandwiches were very good....and the sandwiches ALMOST had enough peanut butter on them. haha I think I will have to close my eyes as I make the sandwich in order to slob on that much peanut butter. I think we need to head back to the Sam's Club peanut butter size (you know the BIG Peter Pan stuff) because at the rate we are going we are sure going to need it! Wish me luck with my sandwich making!

Missouri Trip

Last weekend we took a little road trip down to Missouri.

We had a great time hanging out with family!
Carson is ready for bed in this picture...just a wee bit sleepy!
It was Mark's prom night and Teri let me help her make dinner and set up a little "private restaurant" in their sun room. We had a great time putting it all together and I think it turned out so darn cute! Pretty fancy smancy if you ask me!
Carson just patiently sitting outside watching as Chad and I worked on putting the pool cover on. Such a sweet face!
Kevin playing with Carson
Carson LOVED his uncle Jeff on this trip. He thought he was so much fun! He had a great time playing with him and snuggling. He sure will miss Jeff when he leaves for his mission next week!

And here is the reason for the trip...........

Yep we bought a car....a suburban to be exact. Yes this is my new mommy mobile that I roll around town in.
Here is my little man all tuckered out on the drive. He did pretty good on the drive there and back overall. Hopefully he won't hate us for making him make the drive again when we go down this weekend. :)
