Being a mom is hard. I love being a mom to my two kids, but some days are harder than others and some days I just feel like I'm losing my mind. Anyone else ever feel that way? Or is it just me?
This little missy is growing like a weed and is chunky as can be.-Love it!
Sometimes it's nice just to snuggle up and relax.
Brooklyn is so happy and loves to give us big grins.
Although Carson is just a couple weeks shy of being two I know we have already hit the terrible twos. This kid is so full of it! He is busy as can be coming up with new things to get into or play with. We switched him from his crib to a "big boy" bed a few weeks ago and that just about did me in. Usually both of us ended up crying and frustrated. So now he starts out in the bed and if he gets out he has to sleep in the crib. Hopefully some day he will figure out that he should just stay in bed all night and all during nap time! :)
I never know what I'm going to find when I go into get him from his nap. This is his latest trick...pulling one arm out of his shirt.
I guess this is what Carson thinks the blinds should look like. Every day is a new adventure around here these days! I just can't help but laugh at some of the things he comes up with.
This is what I found when I came into his room during nap time a couple of weeks ago. He had completely taken apart his bed.
As you can see he's pretty proud of it.
Sometimes he actually sleeps during nap time wherever he randomly crashes on the floor.
The other day he fell asleep during lunch. It was so funny!
I took the kids to the fire station the other day and Carson was thrilled that they were giving out balloons. He became obsessed with this red balloon.

He insisted the balloon had to take a bath with him, eat with him, and sleep with him.

Yes being a mom is hard, but at the same time I feel so bless to be able to be a mother when I know there are many women out there that would do anything to have children. So I am grateful to have these two sweet kiddos to raise. Love you both!

Agreed-being a mom is definitely not for the faint of heart! You are doing so great with your kids! They are LUCKY to have such an outstanding mother.
Oh, if you figure out the staying in your bed part of things, let me know the trick! We've got it down at bed time (finally), but nap time is awful for that. The pack'n'play was our solution for a while, but Julie climbs out of that now, too. It's definitely not an easy job to be a mom. Your kids are so cute though, and hopefully what everyone says is true...this is just a stage!
You are a great Mom!!! Your kiddos are just so stinkin ADORABLE!!!
Thanks Michelle! I needed to hear that this week! :)
Lydia was the same after Michael was born - it is like she is a new child! Crazy. But then they start to calm down once they get a little more attention. It's rough, but give it 6 months. That's what Tammy kept telling me. And at 5 1/2 months - I agreed! I am finally feeling like I can possibly do this.
You are a great mom. Get lots of naps -- the housework can wait.
It's the hardest thing I've EVER done, but so worth it in the end. Just love them lots, cause they will never be little or this age again, and it does go fast!!! Your a good mom~~just hang in there and take 1 day at a time, even a minute at a time sometimes
I am so proud of you and think you are such a wonderful mommy! Good job of catching some of those funny moments--Carson is such the squirt! Love you all lots!
Oh it definitely can be challenging but in the same breath SOOOO much fun being a mom! If you are anything like me, having a second one just seems to make things even more crazy but you did a great job catching some of those crazy silly moments on camera. What cute pictures of your kids!
