Easter weekend

One of my absolute favorite things to do for Easter is to dye eggs. I'm not sure exactly why I look forward to it so much since I never do anything too fancy nancy like add stickers, or glitter, etc, but I still have fun doing it anyway. We dyed eggs for our date night that Friday and had a great little time. That night we hid each others baskets and eggs. On Saturday morning we had our own mini Easter egg/Easter basket hunt in our apartment. I thought I had done such a clever job of hiding Chad's basket. It took him a while to find it, but once he did he went and re-hid it somewhere else. Then he came and told me that he couldn't find it and needed a hint. I came to help him and was shocked to find it not in it's original hiding place and found it somewhere else. What a little sneak!

I'm pretty excited about my basket chuck full of candy
Chad's pretty excited about his too
Me already picking at the candy

Why is it that the purple color always come out spotted ugly?

We got a bit carried away and had a little too much fun with the camera...
On Saturday morning we had our traditional conference breakfast. We invited a few friends over and we enjoyed yummy buttermilk pancakes smothered with homemade syrups, eggs, and fruit. It was delicious! General Conference was of course wonderful as usual. I just love that we get the chance to hear these inspiring messages from our prophet and apostles. It always reminds me that I have much to be grateful for and no matter what challenges I am facing I can always get through them with the Lord's help. All in all I would say we had a fabulous Easter weekend! Hope you did too!

Glad you had fun with the Easter eggs, you always did love that part of Easter. I think that's neat you have your fiends over for a breakfast before conference, traditions are a great thing to keep going forever, and your doing just that!!! Cute pictures too!!

I agree about the purple - it is my favorite color of easter egg and yet it comes out nasty!!! Funny about Chad re-hiding the basket - he cracks me up!!
