Today I had another doctor's appointment. I am 14 weeks pregnant and our little one is now the size of a lemon. We were able to hear the baby's fast little heart beat and we even got to hear the baby kick! It was so neat! Chad thinks we are going to have a little soccer player on our hands. Although I don't look like I'm pregnant at all yet, I have definantely felt like it. My poor husband has put up with me being tired and sick every day. He's basically taken over the cooking since I am so sensitive to smells and certain foods that cooking has become a major challenge for me. He's also had to put up with me freezing him out every night having the window open and fan on and me throwing off the covers claiming that I'm dying of heat. Any of you that have lived with me or know me know that I am usually always cold, but since I got pregnant that's completely changed. It's pretty interesting all the changes that happen. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful husband that takes such good care of me and continues to put up with me.
Chad is set on having a boy first, but I am just hoping for a happy, healthy baby whether it be a boy or a girl. My due date is unfortunately the week of finals. Yes I know, last semester during finals we moved and this next semester I will be having the baby.-Apparently we like to make our lives even more crazy than they already are, but we are thrilled to be starting our family.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so excited for you two and know you will make a wonderful mother! I was just perusing blogs and was not expecting to hear such exciting news. Sorry you are feeling sick, hopefully it will pass when you start your second trimester. As for the heat intolerance, that has only gotten worse for me... maybe it has something to do with the extreme heat here in Mesa!?! You have such a sweet husband to help out with the cooking. Yay! I love lemons! :) We've been waiting and WAITING for you to make the official announcement. Somebody may have slipped a while ago and said something, but we're SUPER excited. Our little ones will be so close in age! :)
Hope you start feeling better soon too. I think my being sick let up around 14 weeks and slowly disappeared after that. It was a HUGE relief not throwing up like 10 times a day!
