Gingerbread Houses

Better late than never posting this...right?  We have a tradition of making gingerbread houses with Grammy at Christmas.  My kids absolutely love it!  In fact, Carson asked about when we were going to make them for several months.  He's our little Christmas lover.  Anyway, we had a great time making them with everyone! Be prepared for a photo overload.  :)

Grandma and Grandpa

Teri and Steve came out for Christmas this year and it was so much fun to have them here.  Carson and Brooklyn loved having them here and could not get enough of them.  We just love them so much and it was so fun to be able to have almost the whole Burgin family together for Christmas!

The Night Before Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we had a party at Debbie's house, which is always so fun!  Lots of yummy food!  The kids did the Nativity, and then we did a white elephant gift exchange.  We had a great time!  Too bad I forgot my camera!  :(
We came home and read a few Christmas books and the story of Christ's birth.

There were tons and tons of presents under our tree!  Between the gifts for both families it was out of control!

 Love these three!

Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

About a month ago we were at my parents house and my Dad says "Who wants to go outside and build a snowman?"  Carson hopped up and volunteered right away.  So Papa and Carson went outside and built a cute little snowman.  Carson had a blast!  He just loves spending time with his Papa!-And I love that my Dad always takes time to do fun things with the kids.

Eating the snow.  He thought it was great...I thought it was gross.  :)

Thanksgiving

This year was a very, very low key Thanksgiving.  We went to my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner and it was just us and my parents.  It was sort of weird only having a few of us, but it was also nice and relaxing.  The food, of course, was delicious.  We at dinner and then we watched the movie Planes with the kids.  Brooklyn wouldn't sit still for the life of her and was moving from place to place every five seconds.  Later that day Travis, Amanda, and Lyndee came over and we all hung out while the kids played.  Carson begged to play Twister (he kept calling it "Turn") and so we played that too.  The kids had a blast!

I'm so grateful that I could spend Thanksgiving with family.  It is nice to be able to live so close and see each other so often.

My kids loved playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos with Lyndee

Carson's 4th Birthday

Carson had his 4th birthday on November 16th.  He is growing up so fast, it's crazy!  Since Carson loves tractors right now we did a construction themed party.  He was so excited to have a cake with a tractor on it.  Steve and Teri were in town so it was fun to be able to have them here to celebrate with us.  Lots of family came to the party and he is loving all his new toys.  Chad and I splurged and bought him a double shot since he is so into basketball and he has played with it non-stop.

I just love having Carson and I am so happy he is apart of our family.  He is such a happy and fun boy to be around.  I love how outgoing and social he is.  I love that he loves his sister and that they are best friends.  I love you Carson bug!
