Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

About a month ago we were at my parents house and my Dad says "Who wants to go outside and build a snowman?"  Carson hopped up and volunteered right away.  So Papa and Carson went outside and built a cute little snowman.  Carson had a blast!  He just loves spending time with his Papa!-And I love that my Dad always takes time to do fun things with the kids.

Eating the snow.  He thought it was great...I thought it was gross.  :)

Thanksgiving

This year was a very, very low key Thanksgiving.  We went to my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner and it was just us and my parents.  It was sort of weird only having a few of us, but it was also nice and relaxing.  The food, of course, was delicious.  We at dinner and then we watched the movie Planes with the kids.  Brooklyn wouldn't sit still for the life of her and was moving from place to place every five seconds.  Later that day Travis, Amanda, and Lyndee came over and we all hung out while the kids played.  Carson begged to play Twister (he kept calling it "Turn") and so we played that too.  The kids had a blast!

I'm so grateful that I could spend Thanksgiving with family.  It is nice to be able to live so close and see each other so often.

My kids loved playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos with Lyndee

Carson's 4th Birthday

Carson had his 4th birthday on November 16th.  He is growing up so fast, it's crazy!  Since Carson loves tractors right now we did a construction themed party.  He was so excited to have a cake with a tractor on it.  Steve and Teri were in town so it was fun to be able to have them here to celebrate with us.  Lots of family came to the party and he is loving all his new toys.  Chad and I splurged and bought him a double shot since he is so into basketball and he has played with it non-stop.

I just love having Carson and I am so happy he is apart of our family.  He is such a happy and fun boy to be around.  I love how outgoing and social he is.  I love that he loves his sister and that they are best friends.  I love you Carson bug!

Projects and October Fun

This past month I decided to redo Brooklyn's room.  I painted the furniture I used as a little girl white and blue.  It turned out really cute!  Although, the picture of the headboard makes it look crappy...weird glares.  Anyway, it has been a fun project for me to work on and I can wait to finish it.  I will have to post some pictures when it's completed.

Daddy playing dominoes with the kids.  The kids insisted on having some of their stuffed animals play too.  So cute!

Carson is in love with these rain boots and wears them all the time.  This is how he wanted to go to church the other day.

I ran in a 5k fundraiser for my friend Garrett who is battling cancer.   I wasn't feeling very good that day...hence the scary picture.

I made some playdough the other day for the kids and they have loved playing with it.

I just love this picture of Carson.  I wish my little boy would stop growing up so fast!

Carson's 1st Day of Preschool

Carson had his first day of preschool on August 28th.  He has been so excited to go to preschool and has been talking about it for months.  Him and his friend Hailey both thought that they were going to ride the school bus with the big kids to school.  Carson wasn't scared or nervous at all.  He went right in and said "Hi" to his teacher and then sat down to color.  Brooklyn wanted to stay with him and color though.  She kept trying to steal a seat and sit down. I was probably more nervous than he was.  It seemed like he was gone for a long time on the first day and I really missed him. So far he is loving it and hopefully he will continue to enjoy it.

Brooklyn's 2nd Birthdday

Hard to believe that my baby girl is two already!  She has grown up so fast!  Brooklyn is such a happy little girl.  The day of her birthday the only thing she wanted to do was go play at Magah's house.  So that's just what we did and she was thrilled.  Later that night we opened presents and had ice-cream.  A couple days later we had a little family birthday party for Brooklyn.  We did a Minnie Mouse theme this year with Minnie shaped oreos and rice krispie treats.  Carson probably had more fun that she did and could hardly contain his excitement as we opened the presents.  Happy birthday to my Brooky Bear!  I love you!

Fun Brooklyn Facts
-Loves her baby doll Jenna!  She will cry out at night if baby Jenna's hat or binki falls out.  Too funny!
-Still loves Toy Story, especially Toy Story 3
-She recently moved to her big girl bed and never comes out of her room or gets off her bed.  It's amazing!
-Will eat almost anything, even salad.
-Loves to wear Carson's Lightning McQueen slippers.
-Talks up a storm and can say anything
-Likes to sit on the potty, even though she isn't potty trained yet.
-Loves to play with Carson and do anything that he does.
-Loves the Disney princess's.
-Rides her bike like a crazy person!  She has no fear!
-Will let me do her hair only if I say "Let's do princess hair."
-Likes taking naps and will run to her bed and lay down herself if she is tired.
-Gets easily offended and will pout big time. (I have a hard time not laughing when she does this..it's way funny)

I had lots of balloons hanging from our entry way and this is all that was left after Carson, Brooklyn, and Lyndie had a hay day with them.
Great Grandma Petterborg and Brooklyn.  Such a sweet picture!

She threw a fit for a minute when Chad brought over the cake, but then she decided it was okay.

Carson loved helping opening Brooklyn's presents.  Don't you just love the backwards fireman hat?!  haha
