Brooklyn's 2nd Birthdday

Hard to believe that my baby girl is two already!  She has grown up so fast!  Brooklyn is such a happy little girl.  The day of her birthday the only thing she wanted to do was go play at Magah's house.  So that's just what we did and she was thrilled.  Later that night we opened presents and had ice-cream.  A couple days later we had a little family birthday party for Brooklyn.  We did a Minnie Mouse theme this year with Minnie shaped oreos and rice krispie treats.  Carson probably had more fun that she did and could hardly contain his excitement as we opened the presents.  Happy birthday to my Brooky Bear!  I love you!

Fun Brooklyn Facts
-Loves her baby doll Jenna!  She will cry out at night if baby Jenna's hat or binki falls out.  Too funny!
-Still loves Toy Story, especially Toy Story 3
-She recently moved to her big girl bed and never comes out of her room or gets off her bed.  It's amazing!
-Will eat almost anything, even salad.
-Loves to wear Carson's Lightning McQueen slippers.
-Talks up a storm and can say anything
-Likes to sit on the potty, even though she isn't potty trained yet.
-Loves to play with Carson and do anything that he does.
-Loves the Disney princess's.
-Rides her bike like a crazy person!  She has no fear!
-Will let me do her hair only if I say "Let's do princess hair."
-Likes taking naps and will run to her bed and lay down herself if she is tired.
-Gets easily offended and will pout big time. (I have a hard time not laughing when she does this..it's way funny)

I had lots of balloons hanging from our entry way and this is all that was left after Carson, Brooklyn, and Lyndie had a hay day with them.
Great Grandma Petterborg and Brooklyn.  Such a sweet picture!

She threw a fit for a minute when Chad brought over the cake, but then she decided it was okay.

Carson loved helping opening Brooklyn's presents.  Don't you just love the backwards fireman hat?!  haha

Date Night

In July we went to The Pie for a little date night with our good friends, Nick and Susan.  We ordered the largest pizza they have and it seriously is the biggest pizza I've ever seen!  We hardly made a dent in it and we were all stuffed!  We had a great time talking and laughing.  We sure miss living right across the street from them!

Workin' Hard

We had a very busy summer and especially have loved living in our new house.  One of Carson's favorite things to do is to bring in the garbage can.  Sometimes he gets really lucky and we see several garbage trucks in our neighborhood.  Garbage day is still his favorite day of the week.  I was impressed that he could actually take in the garbage can all by himself.  Pretty strong little guy!

The kids both love helping out washing the cars.  Brooklyn usually washes herself more than the car and ends up completely soaked.  So cute!

Catch-up: Bear Lake

Back in June we went to Bear Lake with some of our friends from law school (Allen's, Johnson's, Gregory's, and the Ellis's)  We stayed at a beautiful cabin and had so much fun!  We stayed up late playing games and talking, eating way too much yummy food, playing at the park, and eating the famous raspberry shakes.  I also got to go running with my old running partner, Torrie, and she smoked me!  But it was a fun 7 miler run together!  We are so lucky to have made such awesome friends while we lived in Nebraska!  This definitely should be a yearly tradition.  :)  Thanks to the Allen family for hosting us!

All the boys flying around...too funny!

Lots of time on the swings!

 Eating out for lunch

Hiking Minnetonka Cave.  It had 188 stairs and Carson walked the whole thing!  I was so proud of him!  He loved it and didn't complain once.

All the kiddos in the cave.
Getting a picture with all the kids is quite a task.  :)
 The whole gang.
The girls...love them!
